TY Danjuma Family Office
Simon Foster joined TY Danjuma Family Office as Chief Financial Officer in 2011 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in June 2017.
Simon qualified as an accountant with Ernst & Young and has over 20 years of post-qualification experience in international investment environments. Simon holds both the UK ACA and Canadian CA accounting designations in addition to a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. He also has extensive corporate finance and shareholder exit experience including IPOs, trade sales, mergers and acquisitions, structured finance and restructuring programs. Simon is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Simon is an experienced Family Office executive and has in excess of 17 years' experience acting in Director, Company Secretary, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer capacities for diverse international family offices, investment vehicles and their portfolio companies from bases in the UK and Bermuda.
Simon has twice been the architect for the initial creation of family office/private client investment structures. In addition to his role within TY Danjuma Family Office he sits on numerous Boards and acts as Chairman of the Family Office Council - a Family Office industry body.
Dr James Lindow
Underwriting Director - Art and Private Client
James joined Ecclesiastical in 2017 as Underwriting Director bringing over 15 years’ experience in the high net worth and ultra high net worth markets in the UK and North America. James has a PhD in the History of Art from the Royal College of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum and is a critically acclaimed author. A respected speaker, James has presented at international conferences and lectures extensively in the UK and overseas for several leading arts societies, including The Art Fund and The Arts Society.
Head of Sales
Andy has led the highly successful sales function since the ground-breaking legal expenses MGA was established in 2006. The team focuses on partnerships with insurers and brokers to provide flexible bespoke covers and has won the ‘Legal Expenses Team of the Year’ at the Underwriting Service Awards for five consecutive years.
Having previously worked for a Lloyds broker and as a SME underwriter, he has nearly 20 years’ experience in the HNW legal expenses insurance market. Andy understands the high levels of service required to succeed in this competitive market and works hard with the solicitors chosen to represent claimants to ensure they adhere to enhanced service levels.
Stephen is a Partner and Head of the award-winning Employment Team specialising in all aspects of employment law and a previous Times Lawyer of the Week. He acts for companies based in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA in sectors including technology, financial services, manufacturing and retail. He provides commercial and employment advice on all aspects of employment law and is often appointed by companies to assist with strategic business decisions. Stephen acted in one of the most high-profile whistleblowing cases which ran for several years and resulted in an award in excess of £1.2 million.
Stephen also acts for high net worth individuals including senior executives and TV & radio presenters in public and in high profile matters, often involved in successfully resolving boardroom issues and disputes. Stephen is often invited to speak on radio to share his views and has contributed to Radio 5, Radio 2 (Jeremy Vine), LBC and BBC Birmingham.
Head of Oak
Mark joined Zurich in 2007 and became Head of Oak Underwriting in June this year. Prior to taking up his role with Oak Mark was responsible for Zurich’s Retail investment, Pension and Fund propositions. Mark played a pivotal role in shaping Zurich’s retail platform proposition, helping it become the fastest growing new entrant in the platform market and has been central to its continued evolution.
Mark’s has over 30 years’ industry experience and prior to joining Zurich, Mark was Head of Research at Sesame, providing product and fund insight to both Sesame and non-Sesame adviser firms.
Director - Private Client Division
With 30 years experience at Lark, now Aston Lark, Dave Foster heads up the Private Client Division, and has been a Board Director for the past 10 years. For most of his career, Dave has been hands on with HNW and ultra HNW clients and as well as running the business concentrates on attracting and developing new business. Dave is extremely proud of the fact that his business won the Insurance Age Private Client Broker of the year for an unprecedented three years running between 2013-16. After that he felt it was time to give someone else a chance!
Smith Greenfield and Confidas
Steve’s broking career began at Sedgwicks where he placed International Property and Construction risk in the Lloyds and Company markets. He went on to build a strong reputation in the Private Client and Fine Arts market where he broked for historic houses, art and antiques dealers, private and corporate art collections and Fine Art Auctioneers.
Taking this wealth of experience, Steve formed Smith Ross Shane & Company Limited in 1996, to create a successful and well respected private client and corporate brokerage business. In 2007 Smith merged the business with that of Giles Greenfield, to form Smith Greenfield Services Plc. The business continues to flourish under Smith who has overseen significant investment in developing new High Net Worth insurance solutions and staff development together with launching the highly successful ‘Confidas’ brand providing Mid and High Net Worth Portfolio propositions for brokers.
Stanhope Cooper and Renovation Underwriting
Will followed his father and grandfather into the insurance industry after university. He has managed the company since 2012 and in 2014 became a proud father for the first time. Will and his dynamic team are passionate about protecting their clients and providing them with pragmatic advice, together with truly unparalleled levels of client-focused service.
Away from work and family, Will enjoys watching football, reading a good biography and socialising with friends.
Working for One Broker as a Business Development Manager, Adele Rand has a notable background in the high net worth insurance sector, drawing on over 2 decades in the insurance market. Adele prides herself on her ability to understand the needs of these clients and the complex risks this sector presents. Prior to joining East Anglian based One Broker, Adele has worked at Director level within the insurance broking sector. She enjoys face to face networking and outside of work, Adele enjoys swimming, listening to music and watching musical theatre.

Home & Legacy
Ade has around 25 years’ experience in underwriting and product development, at CGNU and Allianz. He’s specialised in high net worth insurance for the last 15 of those, in charge of underwriting at Home & Legacy since 2010. As Underwriting & Markets Director, Ade’s broad sphere of responsibility includes underwriting, product and pricing strategy; managing the relationships with the insurers on Home & Legacy’s underwriting panel; as well as involvement in new business development and the day-to-day running of Home & Legacy.
Business Development Manager
In his role at LeakSafe, Michael establishes and develops relationships with organisations that have an interest in the installation of leak detection systems. As such, his network includes insurance companies, brokers, property developers and residential managing agents. Michael aims to raise awareness of both the emotional and financial cost of escape of water, and ultimately the solutions available to minimise the impact of water leaks. LeakSafe supplies both bespoke and general solutions for a wide range of property applications in the UK and abroad. Its products are manufactured in the UK and key elements of the LeakSafe range are performance tested by BRE (British Research Establishment).
Strategic Development & Collaboration Leader
DAS UK Group
Facilitates the development of DAS UK strategy, research, identify and develop the strategic direction of the business as appropriate. This also includes identifying, managing and delivering high profile, strategically important projects for the business. Examples include Consumer Cyber Insurance & DAS E-Trade Programme.
Responsible for UK collaboration with Munich RE group of companies exploring interlocked business models, across the insurance value chain.
